Vehicle Safety & System Engineer

Giza, Egypt

Support the design, analysis, and validation of vehicle safety systems, ensuring that vehicles meet all relevant safety standards and regulations. This role involves working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the development and enhancement of vehicle safety features, including crashworthiness, occupant protection, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).  

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of vehicle safety systems, including structural crashworthiness, restraint systems, and pedestrian protection.
  • Participate in the development of vehicle safety performance simulations.
  • Contribute to the creation of safety performance targets and specifications for new vehicle models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety systems within the overall vehicle architecture.
  • Assist in the development and testing of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as lane-keeping assist, collision avoidance, and automatic emergency braking.
  • Support the planning, execution, and analysis of vehicle safety tests, including crash tests, sled tests, and component-level evaluations.
  • Analyze test results to identify potential safety issues and propose solutions or design modifications.
  • Document and report test findings to senior engineers and project stakeholders Compliance.
  • Assist in ensuring that all vehicle safety systems comply with relevant global safety regulations and standards (e.g., FMVSS, ECE, NCAP).
  • Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and technologies to ensure ongoing compliance and innovation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhancing vehicle safety features and system performance.
  • Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and root cause analysis to support the development of robust solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of design work, testing procedures, and safety analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in vehicle safety, systems engineering, or a related area. Internships or project.
  • Knowledge in development of restrain systems, Airbags, steering, seats (passive and active safety).
  • Basic understanding of vehicle safety systems, crashworthiness, and occupant protection.
  • Basic to advanced know-how in CATIA and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations is desirable.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English Language.
  • German Language is a plus.
