Automation Test Architect

Munich, Germany

We are looking for a skilled Test Architect/Manager to lead the development of a Python-based test framework and manage the test execution strategy for our automotive middleware solutions. This role includes owning the validation environment, scaling a team of testers, and ensuring comprehensive architecture, integration, and requirements verification. You will work with both virtualized and hardware validation targets  

Responsibilities

  • Own the setup and operation of the validation environment, both virtualized and hardware based.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Python, C++, and Rust for testing adapters, with a deep understanding of these languages to align with architectural concepts.
  • Take full ownership of the software verification plan, ensuring its comprehensive execution throughout the development cycle.
  • Ensure full coverage of architecture, integration, and requirements verification through testing and validation activities.
  • Develop a robust, scalable Python-based test framework for validating Rust and C++17 software components.
  • Lead and manage test execution, scaling the testing team as needed, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, validation, or verification, with a focus on automotive or embedded systems.
  • Expertise in developing Python-based test frameworks, with hands-on experience in test automation and continuous integration
  • Proficiency with both virtualized and hardware-based validation tools and environments 
  • Strong understanding of C++ and Rust to ensure interaction with Python-based test harnesses, and the ability to comprehend complex architectural concepts defined by software architects 
  • Experience with testing standards and compliance in the automotive industry, such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE
